Here is what to try if you receive the error message above:

  1. Go to Extras > Workplace Permissions and make sure "Read user email addresses" is ticked. You can find out more about permissions here

  2. Make sure the email address is the same one you use to log in to Workplace

  3. Double check which groups are locked to your bot (via the bot integration in the admin panel on Workplace). Make sure you are a member of the group(s) listed.
