When you are building a bot and creating new messages you can switch from editing the messages to navigating the messages by clicking on 'Switch to Navigation' at the top of the message editor. Navigation mode is a great way to quickly move through and check the flow of your bot, especially if you haven't had the chance to connect it to your Workplace instance yet. It's also a great tool to use if you are building a bot with people not on your Workplace instance - they can easily preview the bot flow without having access to a specific Work Chat.

First go to the message you went to start testing from. You must have linked the message to the following one to be able to navigate the bot. The button 'Get started' below already has the following message attached to it. Click 'Switch to Navigation' in the blue banner:

Now you are in navigation mode - you will notice that the banner has now turned orange, so it's easy to differentiate between edit and navigation mode. You can now click 'Get started' to progress to the message the button is connected to:

The next message will open:

You can progress through the whole bot through navigation mode, as long as all the messages are properly connected.

You may find that you want to make changes whilst in navigation mode. This is super simple. Simply click "Switch to edit" in the orange banner, and it will go back into edit mode:

You can then go in and edit your message:

Once you're happy with your message, you can click the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen to progress back to the message list or click back to navigation mode by clicking "Switch to Navigation" again. You will then be asked if you want to save or discard your changes:

You can then carry on editing and previewing your bot until it's ready to launch!
