Introduction on how to set up a data source in Azure OpenAI

This is part 1 of 4 for setting up your data source in Azure for your OpenAI part in The Bot Platform to use

To gain all the benefits of our native integration with OpenAI, there are some foundational tasks that need to be done in your company’s Microsoft Azure environment. This will likely need someone who has the right permissions to operate in there—it might be you as bot builder, or someone within your organisation’s IT team or department.

This guide assumes that you have those permissions, or are being assisted by someone in your organisation who does.

Once you've got the right permissions/access to your Azure environment, it's time to set up OpenAI. To do this, you will need to complete the following steps which have been outlined in the following help docs:

ℹ️ Please note that this set up will incur some costs outside of your TBP contract. Azure pricing differs from resource to resource, please ensure you thoroughly review the pricing tiers involved in this project. You can find out more about pricing using Azure's pricing calculator.
